¡Hola! soy Paulina, Pauly para los amigos, y soy la humana detrás de PuntoPausa. Soy Diseñadora Industrial y Orfebre, pero me gusta pensar que soy una Creadora. Amo diseñar, crear y enseñar.
Hi! I’m Paulina, Pauly for friends, and I’m human behind PuntoPausa. I’m an Industrial Designer and Silversmith, and I like to thingh that I’m a creater. I love to designing, creating, and teaching.
Llegué a la orfebrería casi por casualidad: como un hobbie mientras estaba en la Universidad. Nunca pensé en que fuera más que un hobbie, pero la vida tenía otras ideas. Cuando me titulé de diseñadora mi mamá me regaló un banco de joyero que instalé en el balcón y empecé a armar mi primer taller. En algún punto me di cuenta de que quería pasar en el taller más que nada y que trabajar con mis manos creando joyas llenaba una necesidad y una emoción en mí, así que renuncié a mi trabajo en la matrix para dedicarme a lo que amaba.
Después de eso, con mucho entusiasmo y muerta de miedo, empecé a trabajar en serio para poder hacer de la orfebrería mi modo de vida. ¡Y aquí estoy!
I started silversmith almost by chance, as a hobby while I was at the University. I was never thougth it was more than a hobby, but life had other ideas! When I graduated as a designer, my mom gave me a jeweler’s bench that I installed on the balcony and started my first studio. At some point I realized that I wanted to stayed in my studio more than anything, working with my hands creating jewelry made me happie, so I quit to my job in the matrix take the job that I loved.
Soy with a lot of excitement and scared to death, I started to work hard for make silversmithing my lifestyle. And here I am!
Si me tuviera que definir en tres palabras diría que soy leal, terca (soy muuuuuy terca) y contradictoria. Soy una soñadora con los pies bien puestos sobre la tierra, una agradecida de la vida y de la gente que amo y una capricornio de tomo y lomo que vive con un caldo mental infinito.
Creo que, como todos, soy solo una humana haciendo lo mejor que puedo y tratando de ser feliz. Estoy viviendo mi sueño y agradezco de todo corazón a todos quienes lo hacen posible!
If I had to define myself in three words I would say I am loyal, obstinate (I’m really, really obstinate) and contradictory. I am a dreamer with my feet firmly on the ground, a grateful one of life and of the people I love and a full capricorn that lives with an infinite mental juice.
I think, like everyone, I’m just a human doing the best I can and trying to be happy. I´mm living my dream and I thank all those who make it possible with all my heart!
